Jerry’s professional career extends over 40 years. His experiences
include fine dining restaurants, Country Clubs, commissary/retail
restaurants, health care, extended living care, catering, University
feeding and owner of an Inn/Restaurant. He has worked for several contract
management companies starting from Food Service Director and being
promoted to the corporate staff.
Jerry received his culinary training at Washburne Culinary Institute. He
is a member in good standing with the American Culinary Federation (ACF)
and is a Certified Executive Chef. He received the National ACF
President’s Award for his contributions as National Chairman for the ACF
Planning Committee and was inducted into the ACF’s prestigious American
Academy of Chefs. He twice won the Best Chef of the Year award from the
local ACF chapters and served as the local chapter president. He has been
a Certified State Culinary Educator.
Jerry was a State President of the American Society of Hospital Food
Service Administrators (ASHFSA) and served on the National ASHFSA Board of
Directors for 3 years. He has worked for national vendors in product
development/testing, and conducted seminars throughout the west for
several companies. He has designed and set up cook-chill programs in
health care facilities from 120 beds to 1100 beds and in commercial
commissaries.
Jerry’s passion is quality health care nutrition, food and service. He
joined DM&A in December 2008 as an Executive Success Coach and will
utilize his immense experience and skills to help our clients go from
“Good to Best”.
