Mary Keysor is one of the most recognized names in the healthcare
foodservice industry. She managed the Nutrition Services Department at
Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine for 20 years. During that time
she transformed the department into a dynamic, fiscally sound, award
winning, multi-campus system.
Mary’s innovative work at Maine Medical Center enabled her and the
foodservice department to earn national recognition, including, Best
Menu Concept by Food Management Magazine, HFM’s Gagliana Award for
Operators of the Year, and the prestigious Restaurant and Institutions
2002 Ivy Award for culinary excellence. In addition, Mary was also
awarded the coveted 2002 Silver Plate Award.
Mary has been very active in professional foodservice organizations. She
is Past President of the Society for Healthcare Foodservice Management (HFM)
2000-2001. She has also been extremely involved with the American
Dietetic Association during the course of her career. She currently
serves on the Food Management editorial advisory board.
Mary joined DM&A in 2008. She will use her considerable experience,
knowledge, and inspiration to help food service operators take their
facilities from, “Good to Best”.
