In her 10th year of service as a registered dietitian,
Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion
for providing the best in dietetics, education and patient care.
From program development to public health, and Medical Nutrition
Therapy education to clinical nutrition management, Michelle
provides clients with the right tools to improved patient care
in nutrition and identifying unmasked areas of potential
reimbursement.
Michelle is a Licensed Registered Dietitian and a Certified
Diabetes Educator. She graduated from North Dakota State
University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Food and
Nutrition and Dietetics with a minor in Chemistry. According to
Michelle, “Working in the field of dietetics is a rewarding
career in many ways. Having the opportunity to lead others to
achieve their best, along with providing tools and motivation to
patients to make positive lifestyle changes for their health, is
priceless.”
Early in her career, Michelle worked in North Carolina as a
registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator where she
successfully developed, lead, and facilitated the Dare County
Medical Nutrition Therapy and assisted in the development and
continued success of a 3-time, ADA-recognized, Diabetes
Education Program.
Michelle served as a Clinical Nutrition Manager in a community
hospital and continued counseling patients in nutrition and
diabetes. Michelle worked with her team of dietitians in
facilitating a hospital-system malnutrition program. Michelle
knows first hand with the right education, tools, training, and
team-building, the Malnutrition Diagnosing Program (MDP) will
bring great outcomes of success to facilities nationwide! In
addition, she has focused on building strong relationships among
dietitians and medical staff and continues to enthusiastically
motivate the others in doing and becoming the best. |
