Your Potential For Winning In Life And Work
Do you have the tendency
to think and/or say, "We can't do that because"?
Yes
No
Do you have the tendency
to look for the bad or the flaws in everything?
Yes
No
Do you resist responding
to an inspirational or energetic boss, leader or speaker?
Yes
No
Are you always thinking
about what you don't have as opposed to appreciating what you do have?
Yes
No
If you answered yes to
any of these questions, then you are setting yourself up for failure.
At the very minimum, you are handicapping and limiting your ability
to win and be happy in life and work. In addition, your employer or
peers may not perceive you as an asset to the team. Think about it.
Is that really what you want?
The mind is much more
powerful than most people realize. Consider
that there are literally thousands of people who can raise or lower their
blood pressure with their mind. Thousands
of people have “willed” a disease away with their mind.
Continual Stink’n Think’n can lead to a negative and unhappy
life. To be winners, we
need to look for and focus on the good things in our lives and we need to
get an "attitude of gratitude." Think about ALL your
blessings. There are thousands of them, starting with waking up in
the morning.
Winners don't say
"we can't do that because...." Winners first think about
whether or not the new idea would be a “good thing”, and then search
for a way to get it done.
Winners look for the good
in everything and everyone around them. They don't spend all of
their time judging people. In fact, winners simply suspend the urge
to judge.
Winners get inspired when
listening to a motivational speaker, preacher, or boss. Being
inspired is the opposite of being depressed. Winners always seem to
have a sparkle in their eye because they know and understand the concepts
in this "hints and tips" e-mail.
If you're not thinking
and acting like a winner, why not start right now? You have the
power. It's your choice, you know. If you have a negative
outlook, don’t blame it on whatever happened to you way back when.
Don’t allow life to victimize you. It might not be your fault that
you’re down, but it is your duty to yourself to get up. Get over it.
You have the power. It's your choice.
It’s your life.
My point is that your
mind is so powerful that you can be a winner by guiding your thought
process in a winning direction. All you have to do is decide to
start now and you will find that you feel better and are happier.
Soon everyone around you will perceive you as an asset and a blessing
instead of a liability.
Where should you start?
It's easy! Write the words "Attitude of Gratitude" on
several "post-it-notes". Post them on the steering wheel
of your car, your mirror in the bathroom, your desk or workstation,
your wallet and your refrigerator. You will find that these little
reminders will have a powerful effect on you. Humans need reminders
- that's just the way it is. It works. It's our business to
know that it works, so do it now before you forget. Winners take
action. Losers say, "Yeah, I should do that", and then
they don't do anything.
What
does this have to do with our Destination 10 crusade to higher levels of
excellence? Everything!
Asking this question would be an indication that your cognitive winning
software needs technical repair.
Losing is an unnatural
process. WINNING IS a natural
process. GO FOR IT!!!!!!
