This
is why some Directors have called Destination 10 a magical
experience. There are homemade muffins from a General Mills
mix, (to include low fat muffins), quality bagels, quality pastries,
quality donuts, and a small glitzy, heavily garnished fruit bar.
This is the
essence of "Wowing" the customer. The hospital was
"buzzing" with excitement for weeks and to this day, the Breakfast
Bar is the pride and joy of the hospital food service
department.
Incidentally,
congratulations to Director, Donna Young and her team, at Mercy
Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. Donna has the best looking
muffin, pastry, bagel, donut bar we have ever seen in a hospital.
It is not an accident that it looks like a 4-Star catered event.

"Food Service Is
Showbiz".
Once again, if you're
thinking that you don't have the space and you're employees won't do it,
and you don't have time, think again. It's being done all over the
country by teams with the same challenges that you have. Folks,
everyone has challenges. To win (Get to 10) all you have to do is
get rid of the montra:
"We can't do that
because........................."
We have the system (D/10) to get the job done. All you have to do is
come to the ASHFSA preconference and learn how to get to the 10 level.
If you're really serious about winning, may we suggest that you bring your
assistant and/or your administrator.
Remember, D/10 saves money, improves morale and teamwork, improves
customer satisfaction, and increases sales. It's everything you need
to be successful]
